The photograph was evidently sent from Irvin I. F. Click, of Route 6, Box 28, Salem, to the editor of a publication. The message reads: "A Stretch of country dirt road in Washington County near Beck's Mill, Indiana. Can you use a picture like this and if you can what is it worth to you. We can furnish you with pictures of any thing in our part of the coutry provided they are good enough for you to use." Judging from the marks on the back the picture was indeed good enough to use. The message is "X"ed out and a width of 6 inches indicated. The "91265/11" is perhaps a photoengraver's notation of scale and exposure. Front of card
